Third Institute is always looking to expand our network of contributors who know their region from the inside — students and researchers with the analytical perspective that comes from studying and living there.

What Third Institute offers

Writing for Third Institute means your analysis reaches an international audience of students, policy professionals, and anyone serious about understanding how the world actually works — not just how Western institutions describe it.

Beyond the byline, you join a founding network. The people building Third Institute now — editors and contributors across seven regional desks — are at the beginning of careers in policy, journalism, research, and diplomacy.

For those earlier in their analytical careers, the editorial process itself is part of the value. Every piece is worked on with an editor and copy edited before publication. You will leave each edition a sharper writer and a more rigorous analyst than you arrived.
